Fatman Scoop, the famous hip-hop artist, recently passed away at the age of 53. His ex-wife, Shanda Freeman, has shared heartfelt tributes to him on social media, honoring him as an “icon and legend.”

On August 31, 2024, Shanda Freeman posted several photos of Fatman Scoop, whose real name was Isaac Freeman III, on Instagram. The rapper died suddenly after collapsing during a performance in Connecticut.

In her tribute, Shanda wrote, “I would like to PERSONALLY THANK each and EVERY PERSON that has shown so much LOVE for Isaac @fatmanscoop and myself. He was an ICON and LEGEND, and so many people love him.” She shared a screenshot of their MTV reality show Man and Wife from 2008 and spoke about his generous nature and the positive influence of his parents.

Shanda also expressed her deep sadness, saying, “I’m heartbroken. I love you. Always.” She included photos of him performing and their time together, showing how much he meant to her.

Fatman Scoop was known for his hit songs like “Be Faithful” from 1999 and collaborations with artists like Missy Elliott and Mariah Carey on tracks like “Lose Control” and “It’s Like That.” His music brought joy and energy to fans for over two decades.

The rapper is survived by his son, daughter, and brother. His passing has been deeply felt by fans and loved ones, who remember him for his vibrant voice and lively performances.
