Although she has performed well throughout the series her most memorable episode was entitled “Fishes” which was an episode during the Christmas season and what made the episode very touching was her excellent portrayal of the latter as it depicted a more complicated and emotional version of the former. In the episode, Curtis was able to capture different emotions of her character from anger, sadness, vulnerability and therefore it was considered as one of the best episodes of the show as well as became one of the best seasons for Curtis.
In an interview with Deadline after receiving the award, Curtis said: She looked back on her career and said, ”I have been an actor since I was 19 years old and now I am 65, I never dreamt that I would be able to work in such meaningful projects.” She added,” The last couple of years have been the highlight of my creative life, I am very humble and thankful”.
Curtis’s win is significant because this time she was beaten by some forces to reckon with in the category such as Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig of Saturday Night Live, Olivia Colman of The Bear, Kaitlin Olson of Hacks, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph of Only Murders in the Building.
This is an Emmy award after an Academy Award for the Best Supporting Actress this year for Everything Everywhere All at Once movie. In 1998, Curtis was also nominated for an Emmy as well as she was given a role in the movie Nicolas’ Gift.
Her recent victory in Emmys is her successful record along with the list of accomplishments and versatile acting skills and intelligence in portraying characters.
