Shubh Ayushmann Khurrana Mangal Saavdhan Anniversary Celebrated
Both Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi took to Instagram to celebrate this special milestone. Ayushmann shared a video clip from the film, recalling the fun and meaningful journey they had during its making. Bhumi also posted a nostalgic picture of herself with Ayushmann, enjoying tea and half a biscuit, writing, “Mudit and Sugandha in 2024, 7 years since the biscuit fell.” The quirky caption references a memorable scene from the film.
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, directed by R.S. Prasanna, was well-received for its unique storyline and relatable characters. Ayushmann played Mudit, and Bhumi portrayed Sugandha, a couple whose relationship faces a challenge just before their wedding when Mudit’s erectile dysfunction becomes public knowledge. The film showed how the couple navigated this awkward situation with love, humor, and support from each other.
In an earlier interview, director R.S. Prasanna expressed his joy in working with Ayushmann and Bhumi, describing them as the perfect actors for the film. He mentioned how he admired their performances in Dum Laga Ke Haisha and felt they were the ideal choice for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. He likened their collaboration to finding a creative soulmate.
Bhumi Pednekar holds Shubh Mangal Saavdhan close to her heart because it dealt with a topic that many might find uncomfortable to discuss, including married couples. She hopes the film encourages meaningful conversations among viewers. She also believes it’s a great family watch, filled with humor and relatable chaos.
On the work front, Ayushmann Khurrana was recently seen in Dream Girl 2 alongside Ananya Panday, which received a positive response from fans and critics alike. Bhumi Pednekar, on the other hand, was last seen in Bhakshak, a film produced by Shah Rukh Khan, which also garnered great reviews.
