The series, consisting of six films, continues to entertain fans, with a new movie titled Jurassic World Rebirth set to release in July 2025. Here’s a guide to watching all the Jurassic films in chronological order for an exciting experience.

1. Jurassic Park (1993)

The first part of the movie series, Jurassic Park directed by Steven Spielberg is appreciated among the fans. The original is the 1993 film that presents a wealthy innovative businessman, John Hammond, who invites independent experts for the purpose of ‘reviewing’ the island of Isla Nublar, where he created a new wonder of the world – ‘Jurassic Park’. Events become horrifying, when all safety systems of the park are turned off, and dinosaurs are free to go.

2. The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)

The sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, is set four years after the original movie. When John Hammond, the creator of the InGen company, loses control over the events and his creation the tropical island where dinosaurs were cloneJohn Hammond, InGen’s creator informs the visitors there is another island, Isla Sorna where dinosaurs were reproduced. Dr Ian Malcolm played by Jeff Goldblum goes back to this new island with a team but ends up finding himself in a new set of problems and the greed of a corporation.

3. Jurassic Park III (2001)

In the third movie of the series Jurassic Park III, the director Joe Johnston, gets back the character of Dr. Alan Grant by Sam Neill who is lured back to the dangerous island Isla Sorna by a couple who is searching for their missing son. This is where Grant and the others end up finding themselves stranded in a jungle that’s inhabited by flesh-eating dinosaurs, especially the dreaded Spinosaurus.

4. Jurassic World (2015)

The fourth film in the series, Jurassic World, creates a new time period for the science fiction series being set twenty-two years after the original trilogy. In this fourth movie, a new park is being created as “Jurassic World” where people from different parts of the world visit on holiday. When the park’s scientists come up with a new type of dinosaur known as the Indominus Rex all hell breaks loose bringing about havoc.

5. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)

In Jurassic World: The sequel is Fallen Kingdom where Claire Dearing – Bryce Dallas Howard, and Owen Grady – Chris Pratt try to save the dinosaurs from an erupting volcano on the island of Isla Nublar. The general theme of the movie lies in the conflict as to whether human beings should interfere with the natural habits of these beings and the repercussions of the action.

6. Jurassic World Dominion (2022)

The last sequel, Jurassic World Dominion, is shot four years after the events that took place in Fallen Kingdom. It is now a new age for dinosaurs and man to live together, which of course leads to new problems. Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Alan Grant, and Dr. Ian Malcolm returned in this series of movies with Owen Grady and Claire Dearing as they fight in a new world where humans along with dinosaurs should learn how to survive together.

Get Ready for the Next Adventure
