Jurassic World: Rebirth Connections
The film will focus on characters trying to extract DNA from the last remaining dinosaurs on Earth. This new plot detail has fans wondering if the film will link to the popular animated spin offs, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and Jurassic World: Chaos Theory.
Camp Cretaceous, which premiered on Netflix in 2020, followed a group of teenagers stranded on Isla Nublar during the events of Jurassic (2015). The show ran for five seasons, and its characters faced various challenges from dinosaurs and human threats.
Chaos Theory, which began earlier this year, is set six years after Camp Cretaceous. It features the reunion of the Camp Cretaceous characters as adults, investigating a potential murder among them.
Interestingly, Chaos Theory was initially planned to take place five years after Dominion. However, production delays pushed it to six years. According to Chaos Theory, dinosaurs are now scattered across the U.S., while Rebirth suggests that dinosaurs are only found in isolated equatorial areas, implying a significant shift in their presence on Earth.
Although the characters from Chaos Theory are unlikely to appear in Rebirth, acknowledging these animated series in the upcoming film could create a more connected and cohesive Jurassic franchise.
The cast of Jurassic : Rebirth includes Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, and several others. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see how this new installment will fit into the broader Jurassic World universe.
