Akshay Kumar reveals, “Aarav feared Vidya Balan for 6 years after Bhool Bhulaiyaa,” refused meetings

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar recently shared an interesting and slightly scary story about his son Aarav. While promoting his upcoming film Bhoot Bangla, Akshay opened up about how deeply Bhool Bhulaiyaa affected his young son years ago.

Aarav Was Scared of Vidya Balan for Years

Akshay revealed that after watching Bhool Bhulaiyaa in 2007, his son Aarav became extremely scared of Vidya Balan. Her character Manjulika left such a strong impression that Aarav could not separate the actor from the role.

Even when Vidya visited their home, Aarav refused to meet her. He would avoid looking at her and stayed away because he believed she was still Manjulika. This fear lasted for almost six years, which surprised even Akshay.

The actor shared that he had to patiently explain to Aarav that Vidya was just an actress and not the scary character from the film. Despite his efforts, Aarav found it hard to believe for a long time.

Impact of Bhool Bhulaiyaa on Young Minds

Bhool Bhulaiyaa, directed by Priyadarshan, was not just a horror comedy but also had psychological elements. Vidya Balan’s intense performance made the character very real and memorable.

For children like Aarav, the line between fiction and reality can sometimes blur. This story clearly shows how powerful performances in films can leave a long-lasting impact, especially on young viewers.

Akshay Kumar Talks About Bhoot Bangla

While sharing this story, Akshay also spoke about his upcoming film Bhoot Bangla. He described it as a horror fantasy with a lighter tone, more suitable for children compared to Bhool Bhulaiyaa.

According to Akshay, the new film focuses more on fun and fantasy rather than psychological fear. He explained that the story will clearly show the origin of the ghost and its intentions, making it easier for audiences to understand and enjoy.

Trust in Director Priyadarshan

Akshay Kumar also spoke about his strong trust in director Priyadarshan. He mentioned that during Bhool Bhulaiyaa, he did not even fully know the script but agreed to do the film because of his faith in the director.

This trust played a big role in creating one of Bollywood’s most loved horror-comedy films.

Akshay Kumar’s story about Aarav adds a personal and emotional touch to the legacy of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. It highlights how cinema can deeply affect audiences, especially children.
