National Award-winning actor Manoj Bajpayee, known for powerful performances in Gangs of Wasseypur and The Family Man, has revealed that he once thought about leaving acting. Manoj Bajpayee’s Spiritual Journey Inspires Jugnuma

Speaking about the journey, Manoj shared that he did not work for almost a year while struggling with questions about his career and future. At that time, director Raam Reddy suggested visiting Kainchi Dham, a place visited by countless seekers for meditation and blessings. Together, they climbed to Babaji’s cave near the ashram, meditated, and spent time in silence. Bajpayee described the experience as “magical,” something that gave him inner calm and a new perspective on life.

This visit later became the seed for their film Jugnuma – The Fable. According to Bajpayee, the movie reflects spiritual lessons he learned during this time, especially the themes of liberation, detachment, and finding peace by letting go of worldly attachments. The actor said his bond with the film’s protagonist is deep because both are shaped by the same journey of seeking inner freedom.

Jugnuma – The Fable is directed by Raam Reddy and features an ensemble cast including Deepak Dobriyal, Priyanka Bose, Tillotama Shome, Hiral Sidhu, and Awan Pookot. It is produced by Prspctvs Productions, with co-production support from Maxmedia and Sikhya Entertainment. The film is being presented by Academy Award-winning producer Guneet Monga and acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
