Jr NTR, the popular Telugu actor known for his powerful performances, is all set to make a big splash in Bollywood with War 2. This film marks his debut in the Hindi film industry and is part of the famous YRF Spy Universe, which includes blockbuster characters like Tiger (Salman Khan), Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan), and Kabir (Hrithik Roshan). Jr NTR will be sharing the screen with Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani in this high-octane action movie.
Jr NTR Joins YRF Spy Universe After War 2
But War 2 is not just a one-time appearance for Jr NTR. According to reports, Aditya Chopra, the head of Yash Raj Films, has bigger plans for the South superstar. He is reportedly developing a multi-film storyline that will include standalone movies and crossovers, making Jr NTR a key player in the YRF Spy Universe. His character will join the ranks of the legendary spies from the franchise and is expected to be featured in many more future films.

Fans are eagerly waiting for the War 2 teaser, which is scheduled to release on May 20, the same day as Jr NTR’s birthday. Hrithik Roshan recently teased his co-star with a playful message, saying that Jr NTR has no idea what’s coming. Jr NTR replied in a fun way, saying he can’t wait to hunt down Kabir, Hrithik’s character in the film.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War and is the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe. The movie is scheduled to release in theatres on August 14, 2025, just before India’s Independence Day. After War 2, the Spy Universe will also introduce Alpha, a female-led action thriller starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, releasing on December 25, 2025.
