Malayalam actor Asif Ali is preparing for his new action movie called “Tiki Taka.” The film started shooting in 2023, but during training for fight scenes, Asif got seriously injured. He hurt his knee badly, tearing his meniscus and ligaments. This injury stopped the shooting, and Asif had to stay in bed and use a wheelchair for many weeks. He lost all the progress he had made during months of hard training.

Asif recently shared his experience on social media. He said he was very excited to play the character John Denver, who is a fighter with a strong spirit. To become like John Denver, Asif had to train hard and learn fighting skills. But the injury made this journey very difficult for him. He described how he cried like a child when he was in the hospital because of the pain and the setback.

Even though it was tough, Asif did not give up. After eighteen months of recovery, he returned to shooting with more energy and determination. He worked hard to get back into shape and meet the physical demands of his role. The director of the movie, Rohith VS, said that “Tiki Taka” will be released in theaters during Christmas 2025.
