The popular monsters Godzilla and Kong are coming back in a brand-new movie called Godzilla X Kong: Supernova. Warner Bros has officially confirmed that production for the movie has started. Fans are excited to see what new adventure awaits the mighty Titans. In the last film, Godzilla and Kong teamed up with Mothra and saved the Hollow Earth. This time, they are expected to face a powerful space monster, although the exact plot is still a mystery.
Godzilla and Kong Battle Space Monster
The movie is directed by Grant Sputore. It will feature well-known actors like Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O’Connell, Delroy Lindo, Matthew Modine, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Sam Neill, and Dan Stevens. Dan Stevens will return as Trapper Beasley, a character from the previous film Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire. That movie was the most successful one in the franchise so far.

The teaser for the new movie shows an emergency alert coming from Sedona, Arizona. Fans of the series may remember that Sedona was where the monster Scylla appeared in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. A special phone number, (240) MON-ARCH, is also shown in the teaser. It’s part of a creative marketing campaign. When people call the number, they hear a message from the Monarch Community Support Hotline thanking them for reporting Titan sightings.
The movie is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 26, 2027. Originally, director Adam Wingard was supposed to return for this film. However, due to timing issues, he stepped away from the project. That’s when Grant Sputore joined as the new director.

Fans are very curious to know more about the space monster that Godzilla and Kong will fight. The title “Supernova” and the colors used in the announcement suggest something cosmic and powerful.
