For the event, Shah Rukh Khan wore a beautiful and elegant outfit designed by India’s famous designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. His look included a floor-length coat made of superfine Tasmanian wool. The coat had special buttons made from Japanese horn and was styled with a silk shirt and tailored wool trousers. He also wore a satin kamarbandh and carried a cane decorated with 18k gold, diamonds, sapphires, and other precious stones.

When Shah Rukh Khan walked the red carpet, a foreign journalist asked him to introduce himself. The actor simply said, “Hi, I’m Shah Rukh.” This small moment caught the attention of many fans online. In another interview, he said he felt nervous and excited to be part of such a big event. He also said that Sabyasachi had convinced him to come. Even though he is a global superstar, Shah Rukh appeared humble and shy during his conversations with the media.

The theme of Met Gala 2025 was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” The event celebrated Black fashion history and identity from the 18th century to the present. This year’s dress code was “Tailored for You,” focusing on men’s fashion and suiting styles. The exhibition was inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion, which explores Black dandyism and fashion.

This Met Gala was special because it was the first in over 20 years to focus only on menswear. It was co-chaired by big names like singer Pharrell Williams, actor Colman Domingo, Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton, rapper A$AP Rocky, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Basketball legend LeBron James was also an honorary co-chair.
