On April 22, 2025, India was rocked by a horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack claimed the lives of 26 people, including both locals and tourists. Many events, including concerts and live performances, were either canceled or postponed out of respect for the victims.

A concert by Bollywood singer Arijit Singh was one of the most significant events affected by this tragedy. His concert in Chennai, scheduled for April 27, 2025, was called off. The decision to cancel the event was made after careful consideration and in agreement with the event organizers. The organizers announced that all ticket holders would receive full refunds, which would be automatically processed through the original mode of payment. This cancellation was made to allow the nation to grieve and reflect on the tragic incident.

Meanwhile, music composer Anirudh Ravichander, who was set to perform in Bengaluru as part of his Hukum World Tour, also decided to pause ticket sales for his upcoming concert. The concert was supposed to take place on June 1, 2025, and ticket sales were scheduled to begin on April 24, 2025. However, following the attack, Ravichander’s team decided to postpone the sale of tickets. Anirudh expressed his condolences to the victims and their families and shared that the decision was made to respect the national grief. The new date for ticket sales will be announced once things settle down, and the concert is expected to go ahead in the future.
