Sunitha Upadrashta, who has been a part of the music industry for years, emphasized that Pravasthi should learn to accept failure as part of her growth. She acknowledged that Pravasthi had been a talented singer since a young age and had participated in various music shows. Sunitha explained that the selection of songs for performances is based on broadcasting rights, and there are no hidden motives behind these decisions. She urged Pravasthi to share the entire truth rather than focusing only on certain aspects.

The controversy began when Pravasthi claimed that Sunitha had celebrated with other participants after her elimination and that she had experienced body shaming. Sunitha expressed her disappointment and disbelief at these accusations, as she had never intended to hurt Pravasthi in any way. She also reminded Pravasthi of the importance of emotional strength when dealing with disappointment in the competitive world of music.

Pravasthi had also mentioned that she overheard comments from Sunitha, who reportedly downgraded her singing skills to that of another artist, Keeravaani, and appeared uncomfortable when she performed on stage. This, Pravasthi said, negatively impacted her mental health. In addition, she pointed out that lyricist Chandrabose and composer MM Keeravaani also seemed to behave differently towards her.

In response to these claims, the production house of Padutha Theeyaga, Gnapika Entertainments, released their own video statement. The team clarified that the show’s format was based on a structured evaluation system, and eliminations were based on performance. They denied any involvement in body shaming or instructing Pravasthi on how to dress or behave during her performances. The team further assured viewers that the show was conducted fairly and with integrity.
