Kunal Kamra has been under fire recently for a parody song he performed during a show, where he mocked Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The song was based on a popular Bollywood tune but included lyrics that labeled Shinde a “traitor” for his political actions in 2022. After the video went viral on social media, it triggered a strong reaction from members of the Shiv Sena. Some even went as far as vandalizing the venue where the performance took place.

As the situation escalated, a police case was filed against Kunal Kamra. Although some Shiv Sena members were arrested for the act of vandalism, they were later released on bail. In response, Kamra firmly stated that he had no regrets about his remarks and would only consider apologizing if ordered by a court. He also assured that he would follow legal procedures as required.
