One of the most poignant points in their conversation was Emraan’s thoughts on the meaning of friendship in the entertainment industry. Ranveer Allahbadia explained that in the glamorous world of Bollywood, the word “friend” is often misused. According to him, many relationships in this industry are built on convenience, not genuine emotions. The people you party with or those who seek something from you are often not true friends, but are merely taking advantage of the situation. Real friendships, he emphasized, are those that endure through tough times.

Emraan also shared a personal experience from his career, reflecting on the struggles he faced after some of his films didn’t do well at the box office in 2018 and 2019. He mentioned that during that time, he experienced how quickly people’s attitudes change based on your success. When things were going well for him, he received attention and affection, but when his films didn’t perform, people distanced themselves.
He described how during his worst phase, he couldn’t even stand in his living room without feeling the coldness of the industry. It made him realize how people often mistake attention for love, and how easily they forget you when you are no longer of use to them.
