Real Story of ‘Ground Zero’ is More Dramatic Than Any Film, Says Emraan Hashmi

Actor Emraan Hashmi recently shared his thoughts about the upcoming film Ground Zero, in which he plays the role of BSF officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. According to Hashmi, the real-life story behind the film is more dramatic and gripping than any fictional movie.

Emraan Hashmi Calls Ground Zero Filmy

The film is based on the true story of a 2003 operation led by Officer Dubey. He played a key role in tracking down the mastermind behind the 2001 terrorist attacks on the Indian Parliament and Akshardham Temple. Emraan said when he met the real Dubey, he felt like the story was “stranger than fiction.” He was amazed that such a powerful story was not widely known.

Hashmi mentioned that the film is not just full of action and suspense but also carries deep emotion and sacrifice. It shows how brave officers put their lives at risk to protect the nation. Officer Dubey even received the Kirti Chakra, one of India’s highest bravery awards.

The movie is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under Excel Entertainment and is directed by Tejas Vijay Deoskar. Emraan also said it was his dream to play an Army officer, something that many actors hope to do in their careers. Ground Zero also stars Sai Tamhankar and Zoya Hussain and will be released in theatres on April 25.
