Manasi Ghosh, a 24-year-old girl from Kolkata, has won the famous singing reality show Indian Idol 15. The grand finale took place on Sunday and was full of excitement and joy. This win makes her the second person from West Bengal to lift the Indian Idol trophy in the last 15 years.

Manasi Ghosh received not only the winner’s trophy but also a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh and a brand-new car. She gave many beautiful performances during the five-month-long competition. Some of her most loved songs were Luka Chuppi, Tujhse Naraz Nahi Zindagi, Bhare Naina, and Agar Tum Saath Ho. Her emotional singing and strong voice won the hearts of both the judges and the audience.

The grand finale was attended by famous stars like Raveena Tandon, Shilpa Shetty, Mika Singh, and the cast of the Sony LIV series Chamak. The show’s judges – Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Badshah – praised Manasi for her strong voice, versatility, and growth throughout the season.
Subhajit Chakraborty, a 22-year-old paan seller from Kharagpur, became the first runner-up. He inspired everyone with his dedication to music, even while dealing with personal struggles. Another finalist, Sneha Shankar, came third and was offered a music contract by T-Series even before the finale.
After winning the title, Manasi Ghosh said she was still shocked and couldn’t believe it. She thanked everyone for their love and support and said she felt truly blessed and grateful.
This season of Indian Idol aired on Sony Entertainment Television and was also available on Sony LIV. The last winner from Bengal before Manasi was Prashant Tamang, who won Indian Idol in 2007. He is now also known for acting in the popular show Pataal Lok.
