Divya Bharti was one of the most loved actresses of the 90s. Many people felt she looked a lot like Sridevi, who was one of the biggest stars in Indian cinema. Divya’s charm, beauty, and acting talent made her very popular in a short time. She started getting film offers when she was just in class nine, and by the time she was sixteen, she had become a well-known name in the film industry.

At first, Divya’s parents didn’t want her to act because she was too young and had no interest in films. But when a film producer offered her a role in a movie, her family finally agreed. Divya left school and started her film career at the age of 14. From that point, her rise in Bollywood was very fast.
In the early 90s, Divya worked in many successful movies. One of her most famous songs was “Saat Samundar Paar” from the movie Vishwatma. In 1992 alone, she acted in 12 films, which was a big achievement for someone so young. She won the Filmfare Award for Lux New Face of the Year for her performance in Deewana. People loved her screen presence and bubbly personality.

Sadly, Divya’s life ended too soon. On April 5, 1993, she fell from the balcony of her apartment in Mumbai and died at the age of 19. Her sudden death shocked the entire film industry and her fans. There were many rumours and theories about how she died, but officially it was declared an accidental fall.
Even today, fans remember Divya Bharti for her amazing work and her resemblance to Sridevi. Though her career was short, she left a strong impression in Bollywood that is still remembered.
