Kunal Kamra has made it clear that he will cooperate with the police but does not regret his remarks or plan to apologize for them. On Tuesday, he shared a video showing Shiv Sena workers vandalizing the venue in Mumbai’s Khar, where his comedy special was filmed. The video was overlaid with another satirical song from his show, further fueling the controversy.

The dispute began when Kunal Kamra performed a parody of the song “Hum Honge Kamyaab” by changing the lyrics to “Hum Honge Kangaal,” meaning “We shall be bankrupt.” This performance led to strong reactions from Shiv Sena supporters. The video he posted on social media shows Shiv Sena workers damaging property at the Habitat Comedy Club, overturning chairs, and scattering documents. They were also seen burning Kamra’s photo and preparing to set fire to his effigy.

Among those arrested for the vandalism was Shiv Sena Yuva Sena General Secretary Rahool Kanal. In a statement to news agency ANI, Kanal used a popular movie dialogue to suggest that more action would follow. He said that what had happened so far was just a “trailer” and that the “full picture” was yet to come. He further stated that Shiv Sena’s actions were about defending the self-respect of their leaders and elders.

Despite the controversy, Kamra has remained defiant. His latest post, showing visuals of the vandalism with a satirical song, appears to be his way of responding to the threats. Meanwhile, the political and legal drama continues, with many closely watching how the situation unfolds in the coming days.
