The trailer for Salman Khan’s upcoming film Sikandar has finally been released, creating a buzz among fans. However, one of the biggest talking points has been the 31-year age gap between Salman Khan and his co-star Rashmika Mandanna. Salman, who is 59, is paired opposite Rashmika, who is 28. Many people have questioned this casting choice, but Salman had a strong response to the criticism during the trailer launch event.

Salman Khan on Age Gap with Rashmika

When asked about the age difference, Salman confidently shut down the criticism. He said that if Rashmika herself has no issue, then others should not have a problem. He even joked that in the future, when Rashmika gets married and has a daughter, he would work with her as well. His statement sparked mixed reactions, with some finding it humorous while others criticized the industry’s trend of casting older male actors with much younger female leads.

Sikandar is directed by AR Murugadoss, known for hit films like Ghajini. Along with Salman and Rashmika, the film also features big names like Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Suniel Shetty, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar. Fans have high expectations, especially since Salman’s last film Tiger 3 did not perform as well as expected at the box office.
