Vicky Kaushal’s film Chhaava has been performing exceptionally well at the box office, even after more than a month in theaters. The film has collected ₹572.95 crore in India and ₹770.5 crore worldwide. On its 35th day, it earned ₹2.35 crore, which is higher than the opening day collection of Mere Husband Ki Biwi. The film continues to attract audiences with steady occupancy in cinemas across different regions.
Chhaava Nears Stree 2 Box Office Record
The success of Chhaava has made it the biggest hit of 2025 and the most successful film in Vicky Kaushal’s career. It has surpassed the earnings of major films like Animal and Pathaan. The film now aims to break the record of Stree 2, which earned ₹597.99 crore in India. With only ₹26 crore left to reach this milestone, Chhaava is expected to achieve this target soon.

The film had an uninterrupted run in theaters as there was no major competition after its release on February 14. Other films released in this period, including The Diplomat, Crazxy, and Superboys of Malegaon, did not impact its earnings. The upcoming release of Salman Khan’s Sikandar on March 30 may bring a new challenge.
Despite its success, Chhaava has been at the center of controversy. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis commented on incidents of violence in Nagpur, linking them to the emotions stirred by the film. He urged people to maintain peace and warned that law and order must be respected.
