The controversy started when Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, who co-hosted the show, asked an inappropriate question to a contestant. This led to public outrage and legal action. Following the backlash, Samay Raina removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from his YouTube channel. He stated that his only intention was to entertain people and promised full cooperation with the authorities.

Multiple FIRs have been filed against Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, and others involved in the show. The charges include promoting obscene content. The Supreme Court has also intervened in the case. It criticized Ranveer Allahbadia’s remarks as inappropriate and granted him temporary protection from arrest. However, he was instructed to fully cooperate with the investigation and not leave India without permission.
