Gene Deal, the former head of security for Sean “Diddy” Combs, recently voiced his concerns about Jay-Z’s past relationship with Beyoncé. Speaking on The Art of Dialogue podcast, Deal criticized the age gap between the two when they first started dating.

Deal revealed that Beyoncé was just 17 or 18 years old, while Jay-Z was in his 30s. He expressed surprise at the age difference, questioning whether Beyoncé was still “somewhat a child” at that time.
He also referenced an unverified claim by actress Gabrielle Union, suggesting Beyoncé might be older than she publicly claims. However, these speculations remain unconfirmed.
Jay-Z and Beyoncé reportedly met around 1999-2000, with their relationship becoming public later. Despite their age gap, Beyoncé has shared that they were friends before their romance blossomed.
