While Powell could not attend the event in person due to filming his upcoming movie, The Running Man, in England, he still managed to engage with the participants. Through a video message, he joked about the contest being for actor Justin Hartley’s lookalike and humorously suggested assembling everyone for a heist, saying, “We don’t need masks because we all have the same face.”

In the same video, Powell announced a unique and exciting prize for the winner. He revealed that instead of a monetary reward, the winner would get a family member or loved one of their choice a cameo in his next film. Powell humorously added, “This is a cash-value prize of USD 6 billion,” making the announcement even more entertaining.
Powell’s mother and aunt represented him at the event, helping to select the winner. The contest not only celebrated Powell’s connection with his fans but also highlighted his playful personality and knack for staying connected with his audience, even from afar.
Lookalike contests for celebrities have become a growing trend, with similar events being held for stars like Timothée Chalamet, Zayn Malik, and Harry Styles. Glen Powell’s twist on the idea, however, made this one stand out.
