Actor and comedian Sacha Baron Cohen recently shared a terrifying incident that occurred during the filming of his movie Borat 2. Speaking to Vanity Fair, Cohen revealed that he faced a life-threatening situation when a gun was pulled on him while shooting a rally scene for the film.
Sacha Baron Cohen Dangerous Encounter
During the filming, a member of the Black Lives Matter movement, who went undercover at the rally, recognized Cohen on stage and shouted, “It’s Borat!” This revelation sparked chaos as a crowd attempted to storm the stage where Cohen was performing.
Sacha Baron Cohen explained that as the situation escalated, one individual managed to get through security and pull a gun. Fortunately, a security guard intervened and disarmed the man, whispering, “It’s not worth it, buddy.”
The actor described how he had to escape quickly, with security guards signaling him to leave through a side exit. He shared that even the film’s director, Jason Woliner, was chased by armed individuals during the chaos.

To stay safe, Sacha Baron Cohen moved between different locations and stayed in Airbnb. He added that the mob found out where he was hiding and continued searching for him, forcing him to change his location nightly.
