Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey, who recently earned praise for his role in 12th Fail, has shared that if not for him, there are two other actors who would have done justice to the role. In a recent interview, he mentioned Vicky Kaushal and Rajkummar Rao as “phenomenal actors” who could have easily pulled off the role of the lead character in 12th Fail.
Vikrant Massey Praises Kaushal, Rao
Vikrant, who plays the role of a young man struggling with exams and life, was highly appreciated for his performance in the film. However, he humbly believes that Vicky and Rajkummar could have also excelled in the role. He said, “I think Vicky and Raj are both phenomenal actors. If not me, they would have done a great job too.”

In the same interview, Vikrant’s co-stars, Raashii Khanna and Riddhi Dogra, disagreed with him, saying that no one else could have portrayed the character the way Vikrant did. However, Vikrant maintained that Vicky and Rajkummar are both talented and would have been equally good.
Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail not only became a hit at the box office but also garnered critical acclaim. He is now gearing up for his next project, The Sabarmati Report, a drama that explores the aftermath of the 2002 Gujarat riots. The movie is set to release on November 15, 2024.
Despite facing threats for his role in The Sabarmati Report, Vikrant has shown strength and is determined to continue telling important stories through his work. He emphasized that as artists, they aim to showcase the truth, no matter the challenges that come their way.
