Punjabi music legend Gurdas Maan recently shared his thoughts on his career and the idea of making a biopic in an interview with India Today. While Maan is focused on creating more music, he expressed that if a biopic were to be made about his life, he would love to have singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh play him.
Gurdas Maan Wants Diljit in Biopic
Maan spoke highly of Diljit, calling him talented and lovable. He mentioned their special bond and how much respect he has for Dosanjh, which is evident whenever they meet. Maan was particularly impressed with Diljit’s performance in Chamkila, where Dosanjh portrayed another iconic Punjabi singer, Amar Singh Chamkila.

However, Maan clarified that he’s not actively pushing for his own biopic but would consider it if the opportunity arises naturally. He said that for now, his main focus is on continuing to make good music and giving his fans what they expect from him.

He believes that leaving behind a memorable body of work is the true measure of an artist’s legacy. He hopes people will remember his performances and songs long after he’s gone.
