Shilpa faced challenges early in her career. She lost two major film roles before her debut in the film Bhrashtachar with Mithun Chakraborty. Because of this, she was unfairly called a “jinx” in the industry. Fortunately, Mithun Chakraborty supported her and helped her secure her first movie, changing her career path.
Many fans may not know that Shilpa was originally chosen to perform in the famous song Chaiya Chaiya. However, she lost the opportunity to Malaika Arora. Shilpa revealed in an interview that she was told she was “too fat” for the role, which was difficult for her to accept. Despite this setback, she believes everything happens for a reason and eventually got to work with Shah Rukh Khan in Gaja Gamini, fulfilling her dream.
