Amol Balwadkar, a prominent BJP leader and former Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) corporator, is making headlines due to his recent political moves. Currently, he is vying for the BJP ticket from the Kothrud Assembly constituency in Pune for the upcoming state elections. However, there seems to be internal conflict within the party as Maharashtra Higher & Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil is the current MLA from this seat.

Amol Balwadkar’s Political Future Uncertain
Amol Balwadkar, who has been actively working for the BJP for the last ten years, claims that despite his dedication, the party leadership has sidelined him. During a recent public meeting held at Balewadi High Street, Balwadkar expressed his frustration, stating that his loyalty and hard work for the party have not been recognized. He also hinted at exploring other political options if denied a ticket by the BJP.
With the tagline “Kamacha Manus” (A Man of Work), Balwadkar’s campaign focuses on his connection with the common people. At his recent meeting, he honored various community members, including domestic workers, vada pav vendors, laborers, and senior citizens, as a way of demonstrating his commitment to serving the people of Kothrud.
There are rumors that Amol Balwadkar is in talks with senior leaders from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). If the BJP does not consider his candidacy, it is speculated that he may switch parties, secure a ticket from the NCP, and contest against Patil. During his speech, he made it clear that he is open to making difficult decisions for the people if the BJP does not support him.
