During his speech at the UNGA, Sharif raised the Kashmir issue again, urging India to reverse the abrogation of Article 370, which previously granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir. He called for dialogue between India and Pakistan to resolve the issue peacefully, claiming that the people of Jammu and Kashmir, like the people of Palestine, have struggled for their rights.
Sharif also mentioned that Muslims in India face increasing targeting and raised concerns about growing Islamophobia.
Bhavika Mangalanandan’s strong rebuttal highlights India’s stance on Kashmir and its readiness to confront any criticism from Pakistan. Her remarks at the UNGA reflect India’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and addressing issues of terrorism and security.
