Mega Star Chiranjeevi Konidela has been awarded a prestigious Guinness World Record for being the most prolific film star in the Indian film industry. The award was presented to him at a special event in Hyderabad on September 22, 2024, in recognition of his outstanding contributions as both an actor and a dancer.
Chiranjeevi Receives Guinness Honor
The official certificate, presented by a representative of Guinness World Records, read, “The most prolific film star in the Indian Film Industry-actor/dancer is Konidela Chiranjeevi aka Mega Star achieved on 20 September 2024.” This award is a reflection of Chiranjeevi’s incredible career, spanning over 45 years, during which he has acted in 156 films, performed 24,000 dance moves, and appeared in 537 songs.

At the event, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan joined Chiranjeevi on stage to congratulate him. Aamir praised Chiranjeevi’s work and expressed his admiration, calling him a role model and referring to him as an elder brother. Chiranjeevi responded to the honor with humility, stating that he never expected such global recognition for his work. He added that dance has become a core part of his life and career.
The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, also took to social media platform ‘X’ to congratulate the legendary actor. Several other prominent figures, including BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and TPCC president Mahesh Goud, shared their messages of praise and congratulations. Rao specifically highlighted Chiranjeevi’s remarkable journey, describing how he continues to inspire millions with his talent and dedication.
Chiranjeevi’s career has been filled with achievements and honors. In 2023, he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian award in India, following his Padma Bhushan recognition in 2006. His debut in the film industry took place on September 22, 1978, and since then, he has become one of the most respected and beloved actors in Indian cinema.
This Guinness World Record award adds another feather to his cap, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest stars in the history of Indian cinema.
