Jack Antonoff Jokes About Earplugs
On September 12,Jack Antonoff took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to confirm the earplug rumors. He wrote, “I want to tell you directly that I did, in fact, wear earplugs the other night. They were blue ‘Hearos’ brand, and I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve been using them for a long time and even buying them in bulk.”
He further joked about how it was shameful for him to confess that he uses earplugs not only at loud events but also while traveling and even when sleeping every night. Jack Antonoff sarcastically expressed regret, saying he was sorry to anyone who was upset by this revelation and thanked people for noticing this “pressing issue.”
He continued his playful apology, joking that he and his band would not cancel any scheduled performances despite the “scandal.” Fans found his response funny and showed support in the comments, with many defending him and understanding his use of earplugs.
The VMAs this year grabbed attention not only for Antonoff’s earplugs but also for its exciting performances and winners. Artists like Tyla and Chappell Roan won moon trophies, and Taylor Swift took home seven awards. Swift’s outfit also sparked rumors that she might be hinting at re-releasing her album “Reputation,” though she made no such announcement during the event.
