Punjabi rapper Badshah, whose real name is Aditya Preateek Singh Sisodia, has recently discussed the reasons behind his separation from his ex-wife, Jasmine Masih. The couple, who married in 2012 and had a daughter named Jessamy Grace Masih Singh, divorced in 2020 after eight years of marriage.
Badshah and Jasmine’s Breakup
In a recent interview on the Lallantop YouTube channel, Badshah shared that he and Jasmine tried their best to make their relationship work but ultimately decided to part ways for the sake of their child’s well-being. Badshah explained that living conditions and cultural differences contributed to the difficulties in their marriage. Jasmine, originally from London, struggled to adjust to life in India, which added stress to their relationship.

Badshah mentioned that both he and his parents initially supported the marriage, but cultural differences eventually became a significant issue. He believes that modern relationships require more maturity and should be approached with careful consideration. According to Badshah, the ideal age for marriage is around 40, as this allows individuals to be more certain and prepared for the responsibilities that come with it.
Despite the separation, Badshah expressed no regrets and still holds affection for Jasmine. He also shared that his daughter, who now lives in London, enjoys his music and is a fan of the South Korean group Blackpink.
