Anushka Sharma recently shared her thoughts on parenting with her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli, at an event in Mumbai. The actress, who has two children, Vamika and Akaay, returned from London on September 4 and addressed the pressures and realities of being a parent.
Anushka Sharma Talks Parenting Imperfections
During the event, Anushka discussed how she and Virat are not “perfect parents” and highlighted the importance of acknowledging their imperfections. She emphasized that it’s okay to admit mistakes and complain about challenges in parenting. Anushka believes that by owning up to their flaws, they set a realistic example for their children.

Anushka also mentioned that while Vamika is still very young, she is learning by observing her parents’ actions. She praised Vamika for picking up on their expressions of gratitude and good values. Anushka stressed that children often follow the example set by their parents, making it essential for parents to live by the values they wish to instill.
The actress also pointed out that the drive for parents to want their children to achieve certain goals can sometimes be a “selfish space.” She believes that parents should focus on being grateful and setting a positive example, which will naturally influence their children’s behavior.
On the professional front, Anushka Sharma will soon be seen in her upcoming film, Chakda ‘Xpress, marking her return to the big screen after the 2018 film, Zero.
