Alix Earle Apologizes for Old Racial Slur
Alix Earle shared a statement on Instagram on her story section due to pressure from her audience. Afterwards, she offered her apologies and accepted all the blame. “A couple of weeks ago, there were leaked shots from my old ask. fm account in which I used this slur in the year 2014,” she said.
Earle agreed that she knew she was young, she did not understand that the word was even misconstrued but this does not justify her conduct. She stated, “That is absolutely not the way I speak or what I stand for.”
The availability of the old comments triggered criticism of Earle for not responding to the issue in the first place. Earle stated that she was told by her advisors in the beginning that she should not come forward and she wishes she did not listen to those words. ‘’I should have come out and spoken immediately and there is no one to blame but myself for not doing so,’’ she said. She admitted that she kept quiet which let the rumors grow, something she regrets now.
Earle also responds to some personal claims made by podcast hosts Jessie Smiles and Lily Marston. She also dismissed their allegations about her attempting to stop the posts from getting out as ridiculous and false, Earle also denied rumors that brands no longer worked with her due to the controversy.
Then there is Alix Earle, a woman who went viral on the TikTok social app in 2020, when her “Get Ready with Me” videos were posted while she was studying at the University of Miami. Her TikTok account has more than six million fans and she is frequently referred to as the platform’s “It girl” and the “hot best friend.”
Through the apology and assurance to those affected by her previous statement, Earle attempts to rectify the problem and discuss the matter without any further controversies.
