After a five-year absence from the VMAs, Camila Cabello comes back as a performer. She is nominated for pop album of the year for C, XOXO. People are looking forward to having her back on stage and her coming back is believed to be one of the highlights of the night.
There is nothing more American than hard work, and Chappell Roan’s work has already begun to turn heads. She is nominated for two awards, the best new artist and several others. The songstress is all set to perform at the next VMAs as she furthers her career in music.
Other Performers to Watch
Also among the headliners, rapping artist GloRilla and Puerto Rican music artist Rauw Alejandro will also be in action on stage. Several categories on the list include nominations of both artists. In the GloRilla’s ICUs Best Hip-Hop, and Best Collaboration categories, Rauw Alejandro aims for the Best Latin and two other categories for his “Touching the Sky”.
Taylor Swift and Post Malone Lead the Nominations
However, the majority of prizes belong to Sabrina Carpenter, while Taylor Swift is at the head with ten nominees for the album The Tortured Poet’s Department. Close behind is ‘Post Malone’ with nine nominations for his album F-1 Trillion.
Any win Taylor Swift gets for Fortnight also adds to history-making, she will already break records if she tries to clinch the Video of the Year award three years consecutively.

The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards will be held on September 11 at the UBS Arena. The show will air live at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The date was changed to avoid overlapping with the U.S. presidential debate.
