Patti Yasutake, the actress who performed in Star Trek Generations was also a cast member in the Netflix series, Beef and has sadly passed on at the age of 70. This bitter disease, which she would afflict with was a unique type referred to as T – cell lymphoma. She died on Monday at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center, 5th August. Kyle Fritz, her manager, came forward to announce the piece of good news to the public.
Notably, Kyle Fritz commented that Patti was the first client he got during his practice, which has taken more than 30 years. “It was a sheer pleasure to clap eyes with her on a daily basis and I will miss her warmth, creativity and company. ”
Patti Yasutake Early Life and Career
Born on September 6, 1953 in Los Angeles is Patti Yasutake. She later on grew up in two cities of Gardena and Inglewood. Patti on the other hand attended UCLA and obtained her degree in theater. She initially got a chance to act on the stage of East West Players; a theater company. There she met a famous actor known as Mako and performed a play known as The Wash for as many as six years.

Work in Theater
Patti Yasutake loved theater and became a director later in her life. She helped create and stage new plays. Some places she worked include:
- East West Players: Staged plays like “Doughball.”
- Richmond Shepherd Theater: Directed “The Single Man.”
- Ensemble Studio Theater: Directed “Father, I Must Have Rice.”
- Other Theaters: Worked at Mark Taper Forum, Arizona Theater Company, LA Theater Center, and Geffen Playhouse.
Hollywood Career
Patti Yasutake also had a successful career in Hollywood. Some of her well-known roles include:
- “Gung Ho” (1986): Starred in both the movie and its short-lived TV series.
- Other Movies: Appeared in “Drop Dead Gorgeous,” “Blind Spot,” “Road to Galveston,” and more.
- Star Trek Generations: Played Nurse Alyssa Ogawa.
- Netflix Series “Beef”: Played by Fumi Nakai. The show won Best Limited Series at the 2024 Golden Globes.
Personal Life and Legacy
Besides her brother and sister, Patti Yasutake is left behind to mourn this great loss and burial to take place later. There is also a scheduled memorial service at East West Players on August 25, 2007 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM. Funeral details were not included and in place of donations can be made to the East West Players theater group in her honor.
Among other things, Patti Yasutake will be remembered for the several roles she undertook in theater and film. She was able to create a positive impact on many people in the entertainment industry and was regarded as a talented actress and director.
