Shortly after Randeep Hooda bought the land, local revenue authorities accused him of making illegal constructions on his property. They instructed him to remove these alleged constructions. Hooda, confident that no such construction had taken place, decided to fight these false allegations in court.
Legal Actions
Randeep Hooda legal team, led by Vineet Dhanda and Siddharth Sharma, filed a plea with the Madhya Pradesh High Court, requesting a joint spot inspection of the land. They argued that the accusations were baseless and motivated by Hooda’s celebrity status. The court approved this request, allowing Hooda or his representatives to participate in the inspection to show that there were no illegal constructions on the property.
Court’s Decision
The Madhya Pradesh High Court’s decision was a significant relief for Hooda. The court ordered a joint inspection of the land and directed the authorities to provide the previous inquiry report, which had been prepared without Hooda’s input. This decision ensures a fair investigation into the matter.
In addition to the court victory, Randeep Hooda legal team issued a defamation notice for Rs. 80 crores against the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) who made the false and defamatory claims. They believe that this legal action is necessary to protect Hooda’s reputation and hold those responsible for the false allegations accountable.
The court’s decision to conduct a re-inspection is seen as a big win for Hooda. His legal team is confident that the new inspection will prove that no illegal construction has taken place on his land. Once this is confirmed, they plan to proceed with their defamation case against those who wrongly accused Hooda.
