'You look like a fool,' says Chakraborty of Rishabh Pant's Dream11 Advertisement.

Hansal Mehta condemns Rishabh Pant's 'disgusting and rude' new advertising and requests that it should be pulled.

Hansal Mehta posted on Twitter "This is a disgusting and disrespectful commercial.

Pimp yourself but not at the cost of ridiculing art and its rich traditions. I demand that.

Hansal Mehta, a filmmaker, is dissatisfied with a new advertisement featuring Indian batsman Rishabh Pant.

Rishabh is seen in the video practicing classical singing while mocking the genre.

In response to Mehta's tweet, author Munish Bharadwaj tweeted, "It's in horrible taste." Sure. Agreed.

But why bring it down?

Freedom of expression, in my opinion, should be absolute as long as it does not incite violence or do injury to anyone.

Also, although art and its rich traditions will last forever, foolish advertisements like this will be forgotten in seconds."

"Sure Munish," Hansal replied. You have every right to think so. I’m offended and I have a right to say so. Same FoS.

And yes maybe asking for it to be pulled down might be too much to ask.

It’s a way of telling advertisers to be sensitive and respectful
