Tom Cruise flies fighter jet, tells King Charles III

Tom Cruise recently flew a fighter jet and shared the experience with King Charles III.

The actor reportedly invited the king to be his wingman at a coronation concert.

Approximately 20,000 members of the public and invited guests were in attendance, while millions were expected to be watching at home.

Cruise flew a British Royal Air Force (RAF) Typhoon jet while filming for the upcoming movie, "Maverick."

The actor is known for performing his own stunts and has a pilot's license.

The film is a sequel to the 1986 hit movie "Top Gun," in which Cruise played the lead role.

Cruise's invitation to King Charles III reportedly came after he was given a tour of a Royal Navy warship.

Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Andrea Bocelli highlighted the lineup.

 which also included the British pop group Take That, plus U.K. talent Sir Bryn Terfel, Freya Ridings and Alexis Ffrench.
