It almost certainly has something to do with or not have anything to do with The Sopranos. Recently, Michael Imperioli from The Sopranos appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show and teased something exciting

He stated that he and Sopranos author David Chase are currently co-writing a film for him and Steve Schirripa, another Sopranos superstar Michael Imperioli

He told Fallon that it was a “mystery mission” and that he “can’t speak about it beyond that.”

However, Vulture thinks it has something to do with the Sopranos because Chase said after the release of the prequel film The Many Saints Of Newark that he has another idea for a movie in the Sopranos universe.

He said that he doesn’t think “they want that” (probably Warner Bros.), but the movie seems to have been a lot bigger on streaming and caused a nice spike in HBO Max viewings, so who knows Michael Imperioli.

Many Saints Of Newark was a box office flop when it came out (it came out before COVID vaccines, so it wasn’t the film’s fault).

The most significant one is that each of their characters passed away in The Sopranos, making it difficult to continue the story. However, any subsequent prequel may also be challenging due to the fact that both Imperioli and Schirripa have grown older since they appeared on the show
