The Loretta Lynn ‘Had a Blast’ Sitting Front Row at the CMA Awards 2019: ‘The Girls Rocked the Stage’

The 87-year-old American music legend exclusively tells Us Weekly, Loretta Lynn “I just loved sitting front and center at the CMAs.”I feel such pride for each and every artist.I know what it’s like to sit there and wait for your name to be called out for an award.

Garth Brooks, who won the night’s top award, Entertainer of the Year, made Lynn “especially proud.”She says, “I just love him a lot.”

The singer of “Coal Miner’s Daughter” also had a great time witnessing women taking over for a lot of the night.The 53rd annual event was co-hosted by Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton, and Reba McEntire Loretta Lynn. At the event, female artists outperformed their male counterparts in several top categories, including Maren Morris’ win for Album of the Year.

Lynn tells Us, “I thought all the ladies rocked the level last night in their salute to girls in us of a track.”I saw so many friends and nearly stayed up all night!I had so much fun.

At the top of the display, Underwood, McEntire, and Parton, all aged 73, announced that Lynn was at home.The member of the Grand Ole Opry was then captured smiling while seated in the front row by the cameras.

Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman, members of Little Big Town, and Jennifer Nettles also honored Lynn by playing her 1971 song “You’re Lookin’ at Country” over the hole range.

The CMA Awards have a long and storied history with Lynn.In 1967, she won Female Vocalist of the Year at the very first show.She became the first woman to win Entertainer of the Year five years later.

Even though she suffered a few fitness setbacks along the way, the Kentucky native has remained busy on the music scene in recent years Loretta Lynn. This forced her to cancel her tour and put off the release of her album “Won’t It Be Great.”In December of that year, she fell and broke her hip, causing her to have another fitness scare.

Lynn took to Facebook shortly after an online hoax about a death earlier this year to set the document:Willie [Nelson] and I are no longer useless!Both of them are coming back to life, and we are going to make hell better.
