A heartfelt message is being delivered by Kate Middleton to those recovering from addiction.The Princess of Wales spoke candidly in a moving video for the Taking Action on Addiction Campaign, which was released on Sunday, the first day of Addiction Awareness Week. “Addiction is a critical mental health condition that could show up in absolutely everyone, regardless of age, gender, race, or nationality,” Kate Middleton said in her video message for Addiction Awareness Week 2022.In her transferring video for Addiction Awareness Week 2022, Kate Middleton began, “As Patron of The Forward Trust, I even have met many people who have suffered from the effects of dependence.”The 40-year-old royal also mentioned how “empathy” plays a crucial role in supporting addicts:Addiction attitudes are changing.
We want to get there, but we aren’t there yet.Nevertheless, the shame of addiction prevents individuals and households from seeking assistance, and tragic deaths continue.We as a society want to know that trying to figure out what caused someone to become dependent is the most effective way to help them.To empathize with them and to be compassionate to their struggles.”
During Addiction Awareness Week, Kate Middleton also shared “a message of assistance to folks that are continuing to go through”: “A message of support to those who are suffering from addiction.”Please know that dependence is not something you want.Nobody chooses to become addicted.I need you to be aware that that is also a serious health issue.Please don’t let shame prevent you from getting the help you so desperately need again.
“The charities that are driving the Taking Action on Addiction Campaign, in addition to a number of others, are working all over the United States of America to provide life-altering services to help people recover and move forward.They care about you.Therefore, please ask for help.I realize that this wasn’t what I

For those who are unaware, the former Duchess of Cambridge was introduced as a client of The Forward Trust in June 2021, one month after the company merged with Action on Addiction.The Princess of Wales was able to lay the groundwork for her knowledge of mental health’s complexities as well as inform a lot of her work at the early years of a child’s life thanks to her experience working with dependency charities over the past ten years.
