Wearing a stylish double-breasted suit, the 36-year-old musician and composer grinned brightly as she approached the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center.
When Solange Knowles showed up at the New York City Ballet’s 2022 Fall Fashion Gala on Wednesday night, she was prepared to do business.As the only other Black woman to have ever composed music for the New York City Ballet, Solange was one of the event’s special guests. She wrote the music for the gala’s opening performance.
Solange appeared to go topless underneath her jacket, but she still managed to look effortlessly chic as she strolled up in her navy suit with a white pocket square and built-in white sleeves peeking out.
The Beyoncé Knowles’ sister wore black heels with a front design resembling a black Oxford shoe to continue the motif of masculinity.She wore an oversized jacket that hung loosely on her slim frame and a pair of loose-fitting blue slacks that almost reached the floor.
Last month, Solange announced via social media that her song had been chosen for the event.There will be several performances of the ballet in October, followed by more performances in May 2023.
Gianna Reisen, who is 18 years old, is the choreographer for her music, according to Playbill. Gianna became the youngest person to choreograph for the prestigious ballet in 2017.
