At the Mumbai airport, customs officers stopped Shah Rukh Khan and demanded a fine of Rs 6.83 lakh for carrying expensive watches.
On Friday night
the Customs Department at Mumbai Airport reportedly detained Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan over expensive watches that he and his companions were carrying in their luggage.
The media reported that SRK needed to pay Rs.6.83 lakh in Customs Duty before you could leave the airport.After attending an event in Sharjah, Shah Rukh returned.A private jet had carried him to terminal 3 of Mumbai International Airport.The watches were reportedly found inside the bags as Mr. Khan and his companions were leaving the terminal.
After the culmination of Customs formalities, SRK
and his manager were later permitted to leave the airport.However, some members of his entourage, including his bodyguard, were detained throughout the night for thinking, but they were allowed to leave in the morning.According to reports in the media, the superstar’s baggage also contained the packaging for six high-end watches worth approximately 18 lakh rupees.
The Bollywood actor had flown to Sharjah to participate in the 2022 Sharjah International Book Fair.For his work as the “International Icon of Cinema and Culture,” he received the Global Icon of Cinema and Cultural Narrative award.
