The film Ponniyin Selvan, made in the budget of Rs 500 crore, did a business of Rs 34 crore on the opening day. After that 31.35 crores on the second day, 35.75 crores on the third day and Rs 19.05 crores on the fourth day. With this, the film has earned close to Rs 221 crore in a total of 11 days. And this film can earn Rs 4.50 crore at the Indian box office on the 12th day. Till now the film has collected Rs 400 crore worldwide. And soon this film will earn Rs 500 crore.
US Box Office Collection-
The film has done a good collection in India as well as in other countries. According to film trade analyst Ramesh Bala, Ponniyin Selvan has earned more than Rs 400 crore at the global box office. And thus the film Ponniyin Selvan has become the highest grossing Tamil film at the US box office. Earlier, Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth’s film 2.0 was at the top.
tamil hindi box office-
Ponniyin Selvan is doing good collection in South as well as Worldwide. But this film has done very little business in Hindi version. The film had earned Rs 1.7 crore on the 10th day and collected Rs 0.51 crore on the 11th day. The same film has so far earned more than Rs 150 crore at the Tamil box office. With this, the film is the second highest-grossing Tamil film.
