Along with Fleetwood Mac lead guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, her bandmates mourned the loss of their beloved friend.Lindsey, 73, expressed her grief on Instagram one day after learning that Christine had passed away, declaring that “Christine McVie’s surprising passing is profoundly heartbreaking.
“Not only are we both a part of Fleetwood Mac’s magical family, but Christine has also become a musical friend, pal, soul mate, and sister to me. We helped each other create a beautiful body of work and a lasting legacy that continues to resonate today for over four years.Being able to recognize her makes me feel very fortunate.
Her legacy and body of work will carry her spirit on, even though she will be greatly missed.
