Johnny Depp APPEALS Trial Verdict: I’m Not Paying Amber Heard a Dime!
We regret to inform you that the information has returned the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation trial.
Although the case was settled way back in June, keep in mind that the jury’s decision was not as conclusive as some observers had hoped.
By any action Depp “won” the preliminary, being offered $10.35 million in penalties dependent absolutely upon the jury’s decision that Heard had slandered him and completed unsalvageable mischief to his profession.
Hence, why Johnny’s attractiveness was chosen?
Due to Heard’s defamation by Depp’s attorney, Adam Waldman, the jury also decided that Heard should receive $2 million.
Depp dragged Heard back to court on the presumption that he shouldn’t be compelled to pay her a dime, despite the fact that he won with more than $8 million, in an act whose pettiness is matched only by means of its hubris.
The jury’s decision was entirely based on Waldman’s comments in an interview about the fight that allegedly ended Depp and Heard’s marriage.
Heard attorneys assert that Depp was “vicariously liable” for those statements.
According to Waldman at the time, “So Amber and her friends spilled a bit of wine and roughed the place up, got their memories immediately under the direction of an attorney and publicist, and then placed a second call to 911.”
Even though they support every aspect of the verdict, Depp’s attorneys claim, as stated in court documents filed this week, that the court “need to reverse the judgment on Ms. Heard’s counterclaim.”
trial courtroom become faced with a few novel and complex felony and real troubles, and despite the reality that the trial court determined the vast majority of these troubles in a sensibleand correct manner, some rulings were incorrect,” the statement reads.
The verdict against Depp cannot be sustained because “no evidence of Mr. Waldman’s real malice was presented at trial,” according to Depp’s lawyers.
They immediately proceed to make the argument that Waldman’s words were a “non-actionable announcement of opinion inadequate to guide a declaration of defamation.”
“Depp wants to cross nuclear, and he won’t sleep as long as Heard has a dime to her name,” is a lot of legalese.
