Nicole Kidman Stars in A24’s 'Babygirl': A CEO’s Secret Affair with Her Intern

Nicole Kidman is back on the big screen with her new movie, Babygirl, which will be released on December 25. In this exciting erotic thriller from A24, Kidman plays a powerful CEO named Rommy. The film’s first teaser was released on October 1, and it shows a more sensual side of Kidman as she explores a risky relationship.

Nicole Kidman’s New Film

While in Babygirl, Rommy develops a liking for an intern who is way younger than her. As their affair heats up, Rommy faces a tough challenge: Such issues that happen to her, she has to hide from her husband and children at some point. The movie revolves around issues to do with infidelity and the impact resulting from such unfaithfulness which Rommy put her career and family into peril for a Benoni’s passion.

Starring alongside Nicole Kidman, is Harris Dickinson who plays the role of the young intern, Sophie Wilde a newcomer who is famous for the movie Talk to Me and Antonio Banderas, who is married to Rommy in the movie.

The movie is directed by Halina Reijn, and Kidman has said she is glad to be working with such up-and-coming female filmmakers. This, she feels, is so because of the creativity the directors possess when carrying out their obligations. To be specific, she said, when asked about her favorite directors, she does like Lulu Wang and Karyn Kusama or any other directors like them.

During a press conference at the venue of the Venice Film Festival, Kidman spoke about the filming of the scenes in Babygirl. Even here, she insisted that she never felt herself exploited during the process of making the videos. Kidman said that it was important for the show’s plot, and she was cared for by the crew during the scenes; she felt that she was able to give more than herself in the role.
