Selena Gomez has shared personal details about her health and future plans for becoming a mother. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, she revealed that she cannot carry her own children due to medical complications. She explained that these health issues could endanger both her life and that of the baby, which was a difficult realization for her.

Selena Gomez does not lose hope on being a surrogate mother or adopting a child someday. This made her state that she is more positive to these choices now and she is looking forward to motherhood in any way it is going to happen.

Gomez is also recognized to be an international icon: lupus patient; she had a kidney transplant as a result of the said illness. She also opened up about her bipolar disorder in April 2020. She had earlier told this in an interview in November 2022 where she had worries on how her medications may impact her chances of carrying a child but she holds onto the chance of other forms of parenthood.
She also talked about her health and her boyfriend whom she later on confirmed is music producer Benny Blanco, in December 2023. In the letter she described him as a source of happiness and encouragement in her life.
Gomez is also gearing up for the new season of her popular show, Only Murders in the Building that has been recently renewed for the fifth season. She is occupied with other projects and one of these is Emilia Parez.
